The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I was on the monsters in motion site looking at the pulse rifle. Under the resin kit, it says that it will be availible in november, but it's december. Is it availible, but they just didn't change thier site? Does anybody know what is going on?

Also is it easy to convert it it an airsoft version? Will the airsoft M-870 fit in the spas 12 cage with it? Is it a good airsoft kit, or would one of the other kits be of better quality when finished?
------------------------------
M-40 grenade: $30

Pulse Rifle: $2000

Tactical Smart Missles: $10,000

Sulaco Full of Badass Colonial Marines: $700,000,000

Kicking some alien ass: Priceless

Hate to break it to ya but I think that means November LAST YEAR They haven't updated, and I hear that project is adrift without power At the moment. I may not be fully up to speed on it perhaps some others can fill in better than I can. ;)

They've been pushing that availability date for well over a year now. Don't hold your breathe for 'em.

Yes.

Hard to say depending on your preferences of what you require, and your own skills.

I emailed them back in July or so, and they got back to me within a day which was impressive.

At that time they said the kits were delayed until September, so we can assume the date on the site is November this year.

However the guys are right. They seem to have run into endless delays, so I wouldn't keep waiting for this one.

The last few times I've accessed their site, I couldn't even find the pulse rifle page.

Last time I talked to Joyce in Customer service, she informed me that they were still revamping the kit and would probably be sending out orders received in mid December.(now)

Pulse rifle page is as follows:

Go to MIM main page, click on predator and alien, click on letter M, click on PR thumbnail, see product.

In my opinion, the MIM shroud is the ONLY way to go if making a skirmish worthy pulse rifle. The mag well is filled so there's no "guessing" where to put the magazine, unlike ALL the other kits in production.

The weakest components in the kit are the barrel vents and stock. Well, and the fact that the thing's not cast in color.

The best components: The shroud and thompson parts (which incidentally ARE cast from the Tokyo Marui Thompson.).

The GL section is nice, but takes some work to be "all it can be."

Just received another update 1355 hrs EST. The MIM kits are yet again on back order. There was some kind of problem with the casting material that had to be fixed. Next shipping date is the end of Dec 03. I will keep you posted.
