The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Pure AS enthusiasts have condemned this line.

But looking at this from a tangent: Check out the size of the gear box. Priced right around fifty bucks. Are you there with me ?? I'm thinking that these will serve nicely if you couldn't buy the gear box separately (which I doubt) for many projects mentioned around here. Buy one -- hack the gear box out as the power plant for whichever springer or ???.

How about a WW2 Sterling or your SW blaster ?

That would be Japanese Sarge. Negative on English version of TM's site (AFA I know).

Scale: looks undersized. Don't know exact scale.

I think the first couple models may be your std. M4s or MP5s, but on Arnie's where I picked off this info., some guys were commenting something about an L85 I think (don't know whether that's the Brit. Army gun or not).

But the kewl thing about this series meant for 10 year olds and up is that gear box. Made to fire about 200 FPS out of the box. But I would imagine you could tweak the gearbox to get more power.

You can see that gearbox is really compact, making it probably pretty easy to adapt to guns with small receivers such as the Sterling or Sten. It would probably also go in easy with most spring guns like Noobie wanted to do. At around 50 bucks -- heck, why not gut it to make your own custom electric AS gun ??

Is there a way to view this site in English? My Chinese is a little rusty (forgive me if that wasn't Chinese).

So are these 1/2 scale or 2/3 scale? How do I see any other guns in this line?

Do they have a Thompson for a much more accurate AS mini M41A?;)

The guns are between 1/2 scale and 2/3 scale. Bigger than those shotty mini-electric guns, smaller than the real deal.

I'm holding out for the Marui M1 Garand, but that is a cool idea to use the "boys" series for gun projects. I wonder how big that new mechbox really is...

I recall reading somewhere that the boys series were at 80% scale.

Funny, when I first started typing that reply, I put down Japanese (because of TM). I then started looking at the characters and thought, ok it's not Korean, I think it's Chinese.

That's what I get for second guessing myself.

Rogue: It worked... sort of. Have a look at some text:

Definately not the universal translator yet, but you get the gist of the text.:)

I paticularly like the translation of an AEG: "Electromotive cancer/gun".

Preliminary reviews say these have plastic gears and shoot around 135fps. Not exactly skirmish-worthy, IMHO.

I am tempted to pick one up though, just for "fun."
