The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hello all,

Does anyone else have a solution for a fix for the stock locking mechanism for the G&P kit? A plate had snapped off mine (before I got it) and the stock just slides in and out without locking now...

Glue is only a temporary fix...

Regards,

Pete

Take a look here for a bullet proof stock mod.

Thanks robiwon... Guess I should look at this:

(1) because I plan to get some metal Matsuo shrouds to place the Thompson inside and;

(2) I've ordered a load of SD STUDIOS kit including the stock...

Cheers,

Pete

Matsuo has a similar locking technique that works well.

Might be something to ask him about. As I recall, getting the bolt locked in place was MUCH
easier on Matt's version.

If you can live with a fixed stock length:
1. Find an M4 screw about 10mm long.
2. Pull the stock out until the little hole in the stock top lines up with the little hole in the Thompson receiver.
3. This hole is the old screwhole for the rear sight. Screw your M4 bolt into the hole.
4. Hey presto- stock is now fixed at a nice mid-length.

Massively no. I need it to be adjustable! I will take it apart and fix it, I was just interested in what the guide had to say
