The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I'm a luddite when it comes to any kind of technology. So.

Would changing the battery improve performance? at the moment it has the 8.4 it arrived with.

thanks guys.

Check my threads for how to add a larger battery for better performance. Links are below in my signature. The battery that comes with the gun is a no name cheapy.

Yes, a higher Mah holds more charge so will last longer, a higher voltage battery will provide faster rate of fire.
However bare in mind this is an ACM airsoft gun at heart so don't go too mad, 9.6v is probably as far as I'd go.

edit: That and the one that comes factory fitted is absolute cack anyway!

yeah as said above a 9.6v stick battery is the easiest option and makes so much difference. mine is a really tight fit though.

Tight's better than loose though;)

thanks stimpy. As soon as my local gets a 9.6v stick in I'm getting one.

or you could buy a battery sling and effectivly kill two birds in one blow( and you dont have to use stick batterys)

With a little modification you can fit an 11.1v 2500mah Lipo in the launcher, me, Chef and Prophet all did the mod and they work fine on 11.1v, it also gives a similar sounding rate of fire to the real PR

Dispose of your stock battery in accordance with your local recycling center's instruction, and then proceed to purchase a new source of energy; Thus, increasing said weapon's performance.

Axeman - You wanna swap the Tamiya connector for a Deans, too.
Speak to Neil at Midas Airsoft - He's where we get all our LiPo batteries for the hire guns at Section 8 from.
I actually used to have my battery in the vertical part of my sliding stock, with the gun rear-wired... But that was a metal Matsu stock.
If you're not worried about a working grenade launcher, there's bags of room in there.

ok Scapey will put it on the list:) got lots of options now awesome:) the stock on my SW is metal, the vertical part has a rubber/plastic pad though. If I had the money I'd love to turn the G/L into a working one, or at least a shotgun, maybe a springer, dunno, would be cool though.
