Not bad, eh? Even better, the seller lives 15 minutes away from where I do, so I can pick it up tomorrow. Instant gratification! I'm looking for advice on where to acquire a shroud, stock, grenade launcher, etc to fit this out as an M41A. If anyone has these items and woud be interested in selling them, please let me know. tamoogan@optonline.net If it matters, Spatcave can vouch for my character. (or lack thereof) ![]() Help, please. Thanks. Moogus Aurelius-- Last of the Baric Emperors! |

Quote: Quote:Okay. I've got the M1A1. What do I do next?? Send it to me immediately, so I can inspect it. It looks like it might be the wrong model for an M41-A. Just kidding. ![]() Most airsoft dealers in the US are selling an M41-A conversion kit. This includes absolutely everything you need to turn your M1A1 Thompson into a pulse rifle (including the correct pistol grip). I've seen them on websites for about $400.00 US but this price is on the high side for just the kit. The G&P M41-A conversion kit is the one we seem to like (there is one other kit by Airsoftclub). It has a working counter (that actually counts down as BBs are fired from the gun), grenade launcher with working pump grip and simulated shotgun shell (the shotgun shell is not accurate in that it should be an M40 grenade round, but one board member was able to remove the shell and replace it with a dummy M40 round), extendable stock, etc. Rook might be able to help you with a list of US based websites selling this kit. Here's one I know of: www.airsoftatlanta.com/index.htm Hope this helps and good luck! Jörg, "Look man, I don't wanna rain on your parade, but" if that's a functional TM M1A1 (you have or intend to get) you should know that this is an item illegal to own here in Germany. ![]() Sorry for the bad news, but I thought you should know - Stefan Edited by: at: 3/24/04 9:21 am |

www.wargameclub.com/WGC_Shop/index.htm www.airsoftclub.com/cart/...ion=detail redwolfairsoft.com/redwol...=140#12141 www.airsoftextreme.com/pulse.html I work with wildgoose at Redwolf quite a bit, but some people have had a bad experience. I have had great service. WGC is the most popular in my circle On second thought, maybe you should send it to ME with a check for $320 + shipping;) , the sarge was going to inspect it, but I would assemble it, test it repeatedly over the next few months and then hand deliver it at the con to save you the second shipping cost;) Edited by: at: 3/24/04 10:18 am |

Thanks, Barney. Do you know if anyone in the US has these kits as I understand shipping costs and customs from HK can be particularly brutal. Tom Moogus Aurelius-- Last of the Baric Emperors! |

Ah, the mother of all shroud kits! ![]() The SD-Kit is certainly one of the best versions available, but it has a few inaccuracies too: - the shroud is slightly too long (it completely covers the back of the Thompson) - the mag base is too narrow I hope this helps if you are going for accuracy. Which version are you going to build? Cheers, Stefan Edited by: at: 3/24/04 11:20 am |

Stefan, I'm not sure if that was directed to me or not, but I promise that the next time I leave New Jersey to go to Germany, I won't bring the M1A1 with me. ![]() regards, Tom Moogus Aurelius-- Last of the Baric Emperors! |

Post subject: | Re: Okay. I've got the M1A1. What do I do next?? |
That should keep you out of trouble ![]() Actually, my comment was intended to Jörg aka Barney Five. He wrote that he got a conversion kit. While the kit itself (without the TM M1A1) should be no problem, a full auto air soft surely would be! So I thought I should mention it ... Cheers, Stefan |

Joe, That's damned decent of you. ![]() As to this kit, www.airsoftextreme.com/pulse.html is this considered a fairly good kit. Are all the ones listed the same kit? I do appreciate the help, guys. Please keep it coming. Tom Moogus Aurelius-- Last of the Baric Emperors! |

Trouble is, those (here) cost A LOT of money... probably $500+ here in the UK if we were to use a "solid" new spec deact... |

8-hole or 10-hole version? If those are the mag bases that were offered on the RPF, then they'll fit the SD-shrouds but they will be too narrow too. Shortening the shrouds is not that easy as the rear handle support has to be moved forward about 1 cm too. ![]() Cheers, Stefan |

Just got back from picking the M1A1 up. Man, what a sweet gun. Came with two mags, the standard and the 190rd hi-cap. Filled it right up and went out to the yard and blew thru two magazines like that. Great story on the gun. I go to pick it up and a 14 year old boy and his mom meet me in the driveway. She tells me the gun is only a week old, as it stated in the auction. The son apparently bought it using his parent's credit card and when he received it they blew a gasket. Father buys on eBay, so they listed it. Paid $350, plus $78(!!!) in shipping. I snagged it for $316 Sweet! Moogus Aurelius-- Last of the Baric Emperors! |

I can't wait to get mine...unfortunatly i'll probably have to wait a looong time. Ripper _____________________________________________________________________ Can't sleep? Insomnia? Visit COWD |
