The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Dear All...

Just pondering the basis for a PR build...

A Snow Wolf... With metal shrouds? HCG ones? And how simple would it be to install an air soft shotgun with a real SPAS cage and pump handle?

Any recommendations for the best combos for a fully functional hero air soft PR?

Regards,

Pete

It can and has been done. However, what you propose is not going to be cheap. If you want to do aluminum shrouds don't bother buying a Snow Wolf. All you would be using would be the Thompson. You can pick one of those up from Cyma on ebay for $100. The HCG shrouds will set you back a few hundred at least. You might as well go for the HCG GL or real steel. Again several hundred for the real steel, about $50 for the HCG GL. To be accurate you would want the Marushin m870. That is not cheap and again will cost several hundred alone. Be prepared to spend a lot of time searching, cutting, fabricating and fitting. I don't want to dissuade you, but it is a daunting task.

Good luck and let us know what route you go.

maruzen and tanaka 870 shottys have been used.

Marui is coming out with a new 870 soon.

And a low cost Tanaka clone 870 is rumored to be released.

Newer lithium poly batteries make hiding the battery source easier.

Noble, do you know if the ejection port opens on any of the upcoming models?

I might go for a snow wolf as a stop gap and work my way towards the full all singing all dancing malarkey... Although my access to kit for a full build and build skills might be limited... If I'm honest.

Are you wanting to keep your PR airsoft? While the one I just finished does not have any real steel parts I consider it a Hero with the lights and sound package I added.

I probably would keep it airsoft... Though I note some people have gone the lights/sound route...

I'm thinking about just using a g&p 870 in my matrix, id have to actually get it though, as well as put a real steal cage and pump onto it
