Post subject:  Help With Maruzen M870

This has probably been discussed before, but I have not found anything in the forums or the archives.

I was lucky enough to get the Maruzen M870 in the long stock version for just cycling shells don't need the airsoft part of it.

What I am looking for is tips, photos or anything to show me how it was cut down and mounted inside the Spas cage. Not sure where screws, nuts or bolts are supposed to go to hold it in place. I do know that the sides of the receiver have to be shaved down to fit in place.

I've looked at Phil's web site showing construction photos, but I can't make heads or tails of it.

Any help would appreciated!

Sincerely,
Eugene

Update:

Well I found out that it needs to be milled 1" on each side of the receiver.

Found that out in FAQ: Using the Tokyo Marui Spas 12 in a Pulse Rifle... in one of the replies talking about putting a Maruzen M870 in a real Spas Cage.

Any more info or ideas I can work with?

Just found a tutorial on how to disassemble the M1100/M870 shotguns at Arnie's Airsoft...

Thanks Rook!

That is an awesome tutorial. Will be adding that to my list of how-to's.

So far the best way to deal (according to Dean O, thanks Dean!) with the Maruzen is to completely remove the left side assembly around the receiver frame to fit it into a real Spas Cage.

When I get around to working on it, I'll will try to put together photos and instructions.

Will keep looking for things to post as I find them.
