The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

No one's been able to do this. The real steel SPAS12 cage is made with very thin and strong metal. The G&P Pulse Rifle's grenade launcher is made of plastic and the material is quite thick. You simply can't fit the Maruzen M870 in there. But you're welcome to try. ;)

Check out this thread for a lot more info and answers to questions you will probably ask.

Good luck

Your first obstacle is relocating the battery for the G&P PR which is housed in the SPAS cage.

How about listing a URL so people can actually see what you're talking about.

Just out of curiosity, where are you located?

EDIT: half hour of Googling later...

It is already known that a Maruzen M870 can be made to fit a real steel SPAS cage, and many members around this and other boards have done it to their PR. They are happy with just being able to cycle a shell through. But since the gas source of the M870 riot fits in the grip, the gas source would have to be relocated to some unknown internal cavity within the PR.

What he is claiming to be able to do is get both the Airsoft AEG and M870 gas gun sections to work. This means that both the gas source and the battery source has to fit inside the PR itself.

We are awaiting with abating breath for this ...:D

I couldn't see the pics in Russ's post but here's the link to the guys album:

Album Link

Looks like to fit the M870 in there he had to remove the receiver's outer shell... which on the G&P PR isn't too big a deal as the holes in the SPAS12 cage where the M870 would go are already filled in. As for fitting both the battery and gas tank in the carry handle... that bit of magic I would like to see. Even if by "carry handle" he means the entire shroud... still that would be interesting to see.

Fixed the fracking links. Sheesh. They have a billion users and they complain because someone links "their" images. I'll not be returning there.

As far as somehow getting the AEG and Gas gun to function... I'd like to see it happen.

Steve, what ever happened with those really small size, heinously large mAh batteries you mentioned last year?

it's not a bit of magic to fit the battery and the gas tank i've had to cut peices out of the side of the shroud and i have sealed the top. this will not look like a screen used pulse rifle but everything will fit.

Ah, I see. It will still be interesting to see the results; unfortunately, many a solution along these lines have been tried. Obviously, batteries and gas source can be carried externally on the operator. Still most collectors won't be keen to make this kind of compromise.

So, you are removing the sight rail?

It might be hard to recharge the gas and battery afterwards

unless you make some acess panels. Personally, I never

liked the "fuff" when the maruzen is fired. It will be interesting

to see your final result. Unrelated, Nice bath robe dude.

Good times making Pulse Rifles...
