The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Makes me more than moist... I'm positively gushing.

Might well be time for me to actually get a support gun.

You don't need a support gun when you can get dual C-mags for MP5Ks!
Far handier!

Lol. C-mag on an MP5 does NOT make it a support weapon. :D

"Back in the day..." I had one on my HK-94 (MP5 with long barrel and suppressor). It was fun
but kind of goofy looking running around with an MP5-squad-support-sniper-rifle. :D

You'd be amazed at the number of people that DO think that's OK tho.

Our rule at S8 is "3 round bursts, unless you ACTUALLY have a support gun, and the bipod is deployed on a solid surface".

Yeah, ours is "it's not a support gun, unless it's a support gun..."

i.e. M249, RPK, M60, etc... and now the glorious MG42!! Whoop Whoop!

We allow a slightly higher fps limit for Support guns, but with an MED.

Sweet, and Evike are one of my dealers actually!!! Most likely, the handle WILL be removable. Usually they are, well, on the regualr AEG rifles, but the bigger machine guns, I would think as well.

Fantastic news, but I'll believe it when I have it in my hands! The photo was actually released mid last year (forget where), Evike have just stuck their logo on it.

I got hold of an airsoft MG42 but couldn't salvage it, hoping to get one of these.

[Still tempted with an L86/MG36 though]

I bought one that appeared on one of the nationals, apparantly it was a labour of love the guy sadly had to sell, custom built.

Sadly, it was a pile of shite, and the photo's were very generous. Basically I got stuffed. Happens, but I'm still interested in getting one from Evike.

This should also double as a good reminder to avoid buying anything from Zero-In...

Not a brand, the guy made it custom - I think it was based on an M4, but only because a lot of the bits inside it looked like an M4. It wasn't very pretty though, and the barrel looked like a big chunky box rather than a sleek barrel, and so I sent it back fairly sharpish. He was pretty okay about it [I covered his postage, and we both walked away], but now I'll only buy guns from people I know or decent retailers.

Luckily, that probably won't be a problem here :D

At UCAP only imitation support guns are allowed box mags...

As a smartgunner, there's no need to have an AEG.
A gas MG42 can have a hose that runs up the arm to a tank or two hidden under your armor chest plate.

Show us one for less than 2 grand, dude :)
I think we all know they're technically available in GBB format - But those are not only ridiculously pricy, IF you can get one, but they're twitchy as hell as well.

Just because it's an AEG, that doesn't mean it's going to be under $500. There's several of the support guns that cost well in excess of $1,000 from VFC, TH, and Inokatsu. My M60, which is beautiful, I bought on clearance for $1,200 plus shipping.
