The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Sorry funboy, I skipped over your second post.

You can buy the conversion kit on it's own without the TM Thompson.

I believe it consists of the SPAS cage, shroud, magazine base, barrel vent, stock, and correct hand grip (with the engraved lines). Going price is about $350 to $400 I think. Kinda pricy if you're not interested in an airsoft PR.

I don't think you can split up the kit and buy the parts seperately though.

I emailed them last year around August. They said the kits would be delayed until November. That obviously fell through.

If it is airsoft you're interested in, the G&P M41-A conversion kit is available from most major AS dealers. Going price built with a TM Thompson is around $600.00 (a fraction of what the AS MIM pulse costs).

I think what he meant about the MIM kit was the fact that it shipped with solid resin Thompson parts, that could later be swapped with Airsoft parts later.

The G&P/G&G kit doesn't include any Thompson components at all.

i would like something close to the 300.00 range that can be upgraded, eventually to the working airsoft, i dont have any airsoft games or the such near me so i would probably use that version for the possums and stray animals that end up on my porch. (little bast. keep sprayin' on my b.b.q.) i have a spulse rifle (love it) but want to get into something i can build and take apart, add parts, like dean-o's add ons, (gonna get those soon, i hope!) real working counter, you know what i mean? EDIT o.k. out the 2 kits mentioned above, wich would be the best and most accurate for the money? anyone with either of these kits please give some input, likes, dislikes, quality, thanks guys!

MIM's been promising a second run of that kit for well over a year now. You can wait, but I wouldn't recommend holding your breath. Currently, here are your options: look on ebay (tenmill and a bunch of others often sell on there); contact Spat about a spulse rifle; look for a icons stunt rifle. Wait for MR to see if they offer one.
All the above suggestions refer to non-functioning kit/props.

If you require airsoft capable, there's the Airsoft Club Pulse Rifle which is more practical but less aesthetically accurate than the GnG/G&P airsoft Pulse Rifles/Pulse Rifle kits.

It comes down to budget, what its intended purpose is for (costuming and wall hanging vs. skirmishing), how pressed you are for time, how accurate it needs to be, and its features.

Once you've got that figured out you can narrow your options.
