The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Was schlepping around the web when I found this site..

www.cushmanpaintball.com/replicaM41A.html

What's the 'original' the guy is making the vacforms from?

He also sells the MG-42 in a thinner plastic (better detail but weaker walls):

One of our Biker Scouts has one, I'll see if I can find out from him how it holds up in the long run.

Well that hi res pic sure does make that PR look like utter crap.

I guess if you needed a half a dozen for a film this could be a cheap alternative.

But if this is to be your costuming pride and joy PR, I would save your money for a higher quality version.

Saw those last year. They're designed to encase a paintball gun, and the rest of the empty space is filled with spray foam.

Like was said, if you were making a fanfilm and needed a bunch of stunt rifles, this might be the way to go. At $50 they're cheap enough. Detail sucks though, but at a distance, would anyone really notice?
