Remember Alex when we first started threads on these kits over @ da o'Board. Rougestorm first noticed that the shroud is a lil off on the G&P PR ala da Icon's PR (then he bought one!)
If you could look at Pez's review over on da o'Board you will see that the shroud is not as boxy/square looking towards the aft section near the pull-out stock.
Thus, you'd be able to tell the differences between these two (or actually 3 kits, but two of them G&P and DEN's are jointly developed).
But, I know Pez likes his AC PR alot (though he's stated he wants to get a G&P as well), there was a guy named VT74(?) who really graded AC's PR with a major thumbs down from the way the transaction went down to the Q.C. on da AC PR itself.
Russ has chimed in with his review of the G&P PR and really like it.
I stuck my head into GnG's showcase last time and got as close as I could w/o having to press my face against the glass to get a good look at it -- AND the G&P PR looks real good to me, except that there aren't enough metal parts onthe kit (you know: Barrel Vents, Front clamp on the shroud, etc.). Other than that -- I would have to give it a thumbs up.
Haven't seen DEN's PR yet except for on their website. But I will have a close look when I get back to HK in a week or so.
I am currently in the process of debating myself whether to just drop my own shroud/PR building project or just break down and buy one of these kits. I am currently leaning towards riding out and seeing through my own PR project but you never know.
