The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Whereabouts in the PRK are you? (SoCal, Bay Area, somewhere else). If you're in the Bay Area, go to gunkulture.com and Elias'll set you up for equipment. There's also a forum at the site listing some area games.

It also depends on if it's legal or not...You should go ask your local police department if it is...

The problem with asking local law enforcement about the legality of airsoft in your city is the fact that most officers don't know what airsoft is, unless they've been informed by local clubs.

That's not the rule, but it's pretty accurate in my past experience. It wouldn't hurt to contact your local police or Sheriffs department to inquire about it.

The usual rule of thumb is:

On display in your house, fine.
Running around the neighborhood shooting at your friends, VERY much a bad idea.

:( DEFINITELY A BAD IDEA!:(

I realize we're using a bit of humour here, but in all seriousness we now live in a day and age where seeing someone over the age of 8, with what appears to be a real gun, sets off alarm bells galore. The first hint that you did something wrong will probably be a loud voice saying, "DROP YOUR WEAPON NOW!!"

Guns +private property (out of the public's eye)= good.

Guns +public place (pretending to be Rambo)= extremely bad!

A lesson none of us should find out the hard way.;)

There used to be a dedicated airsoft storefront in the Bay area as I recall. $1K for an airsoft gun? It better be a M134 minigun for that price.

Or a pulse rifle. :)

Another thing to do would be to search places like www.airsoftplayers.com and look for airsoft clubs in your area.
A local, dedicated club would have the best info on what's available, and how legal it is in your area.
