The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

It is pretty insane here... It's almost easier to get something that fires 7.62 than something that fires rubber sucker darts!!

No Worries Ttaskmaster. :) Was just looking at other options. Not meaning to cause any waves. I work in the entertainment industry, have done for a few years. Had to explain the situation a few times to 'concerned' officers who might not have been in the loop. People who think they're "doing the right thing" even when there are notices posted around the location (if any areas are accessible by m.o.p's.) that firearms will be visible and all are replicas, which is something we have to do. And don't get me strted about idiot actors who 'forget' they are carrying firearms on their belts/shoulders and walk offset to have a cigarette.

Don't mean to beat a dead horse but as far as trying to be classed as a re-enactment group, The UKCM can't. When the VCRA was first introduced one of our members in the UK spent a lot of hours on the phone (to the governing body involved) trying to see if our group would fall under that classification. He was, in no uncertain terms, told no several times (with essentially a "too bad for you" attitude).

So the bottom line is that it has already been tried with the UKCM.

Oh and if the replica laws in the UK seem askew... you should ask me what they are like here in Canada.
