The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hi Ripper -- you can count the number of holes on your cage and see if it's an eight-holer or a 7-holer. If it's a 7-holer, then I'm afraid it was made by or copied from the Don San SPAS-12 which has that un-fortunate inaccurate feature.

Nice, but there appears to be something on the pump grip. It looks like four strips of something or other - what is that?

Hey Harry, I`M Falkenauge, not you

It was some kind of rubber stripes glued on the pump grip, I guess to get more "grip" when using it with slippery fingers.

I removed them without any problems.

just do it !

Fingers crossed that more of these will show up.

You could probably buy a broken TM Spas 12 for $10-$15 on ebay. They are on there all the time. I myself, am looking for the real steel.

Quite honestly though, Ripper, unless you're a real stickler for a 100% accurate Spas 12 cage, so long as it's the right overall dimensions I think it's fine. The only people who might notice are mostly on this board, the general public could care less. Kind of like the 8 vs. 10 hole barrel vent issue. Having 7 holes on your Spas 12 cage rather than 8 is much less of an aesthetic issue when compared to a Thompson with the bolt on the side vs. on top of the receiver.

So long as you're happy with it, that's all that matters. And if you're really that unhappy with it there's always other projects that the parts can be utilized for. Like me with my recent project. ;)
