The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

So i am having issues with my Evike Matrrix Pulse rifle.

AT first the thing seems like the motor would just jam and not fire at all. It would make a slight click noise and then nothing. The only thing to do was just wait and miraculously it would work again.

Now after playing with it for a while it seems to work on auto fine but semi auto is either a 2 round or 3 round burst.

Anyone else come across this?

It is only 2 days old but i doubt i can return it since i got all excited and removed the orange tips beofre i even tested it out.

Battery connection? Trigger connection? With the burst issue, I'm inclined to think it's the trigger, but I am not an expert - it could be that you need to change the oil from the overhead capatula chamber.

What part of CA are you?

Could be a motor height adjustment.

Central California, Monterey bay.

I took it apart and with my very limited knowledge couldn't see anything that stood out.

As of now it is a brick, will not fire at all. They issued a Return label, so ill see what they want to do.

I had/have this exact problem!! I got one on black friday. Loaded up a mag and fired 5-6 rounds on semi. Then it went full auto (semi still selected) then shut down. Brick. I used a different battery nada. Sent it back. Got it back today with a note saying they charged up the battery and found no problems. I dried fired it a few times in semi and auto. Started to hang up and just click, then nothing. Let it sit for a minute and it works fine now. Im gonna keep messing with it over the next few days to see if it repeats anymore problems.

Try a higher voltage battery. I ready something on therp.com that made a difference.

The 8.4v battery it comes with is not big enough and can mess it up. Get a 9.6v stick. This was recommended on TheRPF so I never fired it with the 8.4v. I waited until the 9.6v arrived and it fires perfect on auto and semi. A blast to shoot.

Let me dig up which one I ordered because it's not clear what physical size they are when ordering. I ordered one and it fit perfect but could not have been a hair bigger.

I had seen the comment about the stock 8.4v not being big enough somewhere else as well.

hmmm....a tricky one to be sure...
i've had a similar problem with another of my old airsoft rifles in the past. the site technitian said it was the trigger conecter points not catching just right so it might be worth a look at them. failing that, it could be something as silly as a loose wire or maybe the motor has jumped a gear ( it happens sometimes). try looking into a airsoft tech guy/gal near you, these people are the unsung hero's of the airsoft world ;-)

Thanks for the recommendations fellas. It is with Evike right now. Said it would take about 10 days to repair and get it back to me.We will see what happens when i get it back. Ill definitely try that bigger battery though, figures the one that would come with it would be crap.

just a quick suggestion, have you thought about fitting a battery sling to you pulse rifle? i've fitted one to mine and i found it does away with most of the battery problems and it's quicker to change batteries if one runs down ( not to mention you can use the regular pack batteries instead of a stick battery)

Wow, sorry to hear how they kind of just blew you off.

Well i have a little bit of an update.

Since i sent it in before the holidays, probably one of their busier time, i gave them a few weeks to get it taken care of. After not hearing anything i emailed them on the 6th of january. Low and behold i get a UPS ship notice the next morning.

What i ended up getting from UPS was a brand new in the wrap Pulse Rifle. This time they even included free Snow Wolf BBs. Everything seems to function fine on this one. It doesnt really click into semi like it does for auto but at least it works correctly.

So they either did two things:

1: Tested mine and found that it was beyond repair, so they sent me a new one.
2: Totally forgot about my order and either couldnt find my gun to repair or already trashed it, so they just sent me a new one.

So i ended up paying $15 for them to reattach the orange tip to a gun i dint even get back. Oh well at least i have one that works now.

Oh and by the way they really need to make 100 round mid caps for this thing. Winding the wheel is a pain.
