The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hello all
What is the best way to attach the magazine base to the mag. Im using a cut down metal mag that has the winder wheel in it. Took out the pins that hold the mechanism inside and and was able to shorten the "guts" and still keep it functional. Any answers apreciated.

What PR/shroud have you got?

Matt Noble did have two types, one part which works with the existing G&P kit mag base and one which replaced the base entirely, with a hole in the bottom to allow winding of the mag.

I dont plan on doing any airsofting with it but I would like it to be functional. When I cut down the mag I left about a half inch extra. Im going to cut out a space in the mag base, then insert the mag to the proper length. Ill then put two screws(one on each side) in the mag base to hold it in. Ill see how it goes.

Wouldn't strong magnets work to hold the mag base in place? Has anybody done this?

The Short mag does not hit the bottom of the bag base.

You would have to make a spacer.

Here's how my mag solutions hold the mag:

The HCG has magnets which hold the battery holder mag, but they're not as secure as how Matt's bases slide onto the mag itself. :)
