The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

ODIN Aaron's American so he probably won't "get" the Marmite reference! ;-)

I've tried it before when I had a friend from Australia bring some over. It was pretty horrible!

WOW that goes back to ROBOCOP 2 seeing that or something VERY similar.

Have to say I`m with the rest of the grunts, this is something a pansy suit would carry to try and look gruff (FAIL of course mind you). Maybe some of the WY Security would use it too, as it`s lighter than a Pulse rifle and we wouldn`t want to break their arms due to weight issues :p

Might make a WY Security loadout at some point with it and stick to proper guns for my CM loadout then.

Hi,

Gotta say that, having used one, I do like the FPG... & Marmite too!

Some sort of WY Security look is where I'm headed with my latest airsoft loadout. I've had to settle with this idea as the gear for USCM is way out of my budget! :(

Kudos to those of you who have it though. I saw some pic's of the UKCM guys on an airsoft forum recently & they looked fantastic!

You have a good memory Teckno Viking. I vaguely recall the gun in Robocop 2 was a Stoner FMG. Very similar to this modern Magpul gadget.

All the best.

John. :)

Here's my PR Size chart... this by the way is not 'cannon' , just my interpretation of PR size 'evolution'.

Image

The top one is standard, the middle represends the shorty as Spat offers it, which features an un modified shroud and a shortened front end.
The bottom one is my idea which is greatly modified and requires full shroud modification. I retained the GL trigger guard as it helps meld the mag base into the gun and also serves as a front grip.
The design is feasable and can work quite well in airsoft provided you dont mind a 3-5 inch barrel.
Shortening the rear of the thompson is an option as well and will not interfere with the operation of the airsoft.
Shortened live fire thompsons have been made however because of the shortened bolt and shorter spring travel the ROF is quite high.

My pont is a PDW PR is not out of the question. :)

WOW! They look great Matsuo!

Very interesting to see how the M41A might have been part of a wider weapon system much like todays service rifles.

Regards.

John. :)

'Suits' don't need to look gruff. Small, lightweight PDWs are more stylish than PRs and don't spoil the tailoring. If there's something that needs doing in a fashion reminiscent of filthy thugs, thinly veiled as 'manly' then we have Marines for that.

And Korrick - Have your Australian friend bring Vegemite next time. It is FAR superior to Marmite.
Alternatively, anywhere that sells Kraft food products should be able to obtain some for you.
