In their shroud, there was a recessed area at the top front slope of the shroud.
Unfortuneately, if you're using Tommin's awesome barrel/spas cage mounting platform that makes it unable to house the gas tank in the shroud in that position.
MIM also drilled a small hole in the front of the shroud to allow access to the shotguns gas tank, without opening the shroud. What's funny is the fact that for all their effort to make the shroud skirmish worthy (and it really is...), they still did not house the battery inside the body of the shroud. They just removed the long wiring harness from the Thompson stock and left the short connector hanging out the bottom of the AEG.
