The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Yes, if you want to clamshell a paintball gun, pick up a cheap springer airsoft gun (The ones made/distributed by UTG use basically the same bodies as their AEGs).

I thought the Tippman looked pretty close already though.

Oh, okay, I misundertood the question. You should be able to pick up an MP5 magazine from eBay as well.

However, to attach it to the Paintball gun you'll probably need some sort of mag well to fit it into. Or were you planning on kit bashing that part?

Also, were you looking for a metal, or plastic mag?

the tippmann A-5 is a MP-5 pistol version paint ball gun with a 6 inch barrel and the MP-5 front grip. i was going to buy the cheap airsoft guns but with s.h. handling its not worth it for just the clip thats why i was wondering if any one had a dead one or maybe a non working clip laying around they wanted to get rid of for a few bucks or something.

A compartment in some types of firearms, often a small detachable box, in which cartridges are held to be fed into the firing chamber.

clip
1) Any of various devices for gripping or holding things together; a clasp or fastener.
2) A piece of jewelry that fastens with a clasp or clip; a brooch.
3) A cartridge clip.

It is widely accepted thet any box magazine that holds ammunition and it clamped on to, or attached to is known as a magazine. The Term clip is widely mis-used to mean the same thing, when it is derivative of a strip of metal used to guide cartridges into a weapon (IE: Stripper Clip...) or to hold cartridges from inside the weapon itself.

So, it could be used when describing a pistol magazine that holds rounds inside the body of the weapon, but it would be incorrect to use the clip descriptor to describe an item such as those used to hold rounds on the M16, Ak47, MP5, etc.

Just a little gun trivia for every
