The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Got the 'green' coloured one, it's getting kind of scratched up from playing and taking it apart etc, but figure I might aswell go all the way and weather it and such - I've got a ton of rattle spray cans, WH40k paints, loads of different sandpaper grits, everything really - any quick tips on how to weather it without making it look terrible?

I was thinking of maybe sanding the edges of it a bit, and then dry-brushing some gunmetal grey on those parts or something, but I'm sure there are plenty of guys on here who have done this before and could offer some good suggestions on what to do.

Thanks in advance.

Went ahead and just took some sandpaper to it, then drybrushed some gunmetal grey onto it:

Only took about half an hour. Gonna wait for the paint to dry and use some fine grit sandpaper on it and smooth / touch it up. Looks a lot better imo.

i suggest removing the shrouds, prime them, then use chrome spraypaint, then many light coats satin clearcoat, then your final od green or brown, then just let it weather. theres also this video as a guide.
