Depends which part of Australia your in.
Sydney & Brisbane WET heat
Perth & Adelaide DRY heat

Average temperature in Atlanta in September is 82F/27C, so slightly hotter than your average summer in Sydney, roughly the same humidity.

It's not very hot :) Very easy to wear the armor and run around, march etc.
