I have SpatCave armour.

He also is on this forum.

The waiting period is long because he has many orders.

I didn't feel like waiting so I found a set on eBay. I still got my BDU, other soft parts and pulse rifle from him.

Be advised that Spatcave tends to have a very long waiting period before he delivers on his product. His stuff is amazing, but just be prepared for a bit of a wait. My shipmate had his order arrive 13 months after he placed his order, an no, that is not a typo! It was 13 months!

With that said, the armor doesn't get any better than Spatcave.

I have a complete set of Spat's 1st gen armour (#184 :) ) and while it's awesome and I love it, I think Chef's armour may be more hard-wearing and slightly cheaper. I picked up a set of Chef's helmet lobster plates a few months back and they are nice thick ABS. Spat's armour is quite a bit thinner, compared to these pieces.

Warning: I'm making 2 assumptions - 1) that Spat's armour is made of the same materials and in the same thickness's as it always has been (and only the design [strapping etc] has changed) and 2) that Chef's lobster plates are a good indicator of the thickness of the rest of the armour pieces ... worth msging Rob and getting word from the horses mouth me thinks.
