I don't condone stealing. It was just to bring up an example and thought it was an AL member who created it for us. Until I was corrected, I toyed with the idea of printing them to use as a few posters near the table, but only by asking the artist for consent. The worst he can do is say 'no', and then we don't use it. No harm, no foul. Period.

If we are going to make new handouts, or posters, or whatever for the table. I'd rather have one of our members make it before we use someone else's work. We have plenty of great artists here I'd rather support / promote first.

2015 Dragoncon table has been requested and application was sent in. Information on acceptance will be later this year. I will make a separate thread for table rotation closer to the con.

Sometimes if you contact an artist and let them know what you are using it for, they can sell you digital rights. I did that for my 30th b-day and made my own poster prints for a one time use. It worked out well since I was only going to use it for the party then trash them.

That being said, if we are going to use it over and over, I think we should buy the poster from the artist, depending on the size.

I based this on an old recruiting poster I found online. This is just a few hours work to illustrate a concept. Im happy to work on it a bit more if we want an image for flyers / similar.

@Boltrig: Good work! I like the background. If I may make a suggestion: Perhaps taking the Marine from the AL flyer instead to create a common theme. If you just have the background and it’s free to use I would like to use it for handouts at NordCon in June. Printing for RPC next week might be a bit too late. Thanks.

Ok, I have the go ahead to print off some materials at work. Mike, can you please get the flyers and stuff to me in a PDF format so I can get this done? I will be at the con at the butt crack of dawn on Thursday morning.

I MAY be able to get some paper banners/wide format stuff done too. It seems the new WFP Manager is a huge Star Wars fan and I am trading stuff for a ticket to my private screening of Episode 7. Lets see if I can get some CM stuff done too.

Just to get a general consensus; Did everyone prefer to have the fan table downstairs in the HYATT? I was talking it over with Dom, and it seems we tended to meet up there more often. Perhaps we can get it moved?
