Just walked in the door so this will be short. It was a great con! First off I want to thank Gabe and his wonderful wife Amanda. Not only did they take me places to eat but were tremendous at the table. Gabe's facehugger on the RC car was a huge hit! Everyone loved it!
Even with me forgetting a box of stuff and the new banner I call it a big success. Wish we would of had the QR codes but we can always improve for the next con. We had many interested people come up. All the can koozies were handed out, plan is to order more along with new/more business cards, and hopefully in the next few days new members will be showing up. Enjoyed talking with all the people who came to the table. Pictures were taken by many and the kids had a blast! We are looking at getting a larger booth or adjoining one for a Nerf Bug Hunt for charity, Mr. Spencer PM sent for any tips. For the members who were there and took time out of their schedules to come to the table, even for a second, it was much appreciated! I will post more with pics tomorrow. I am beat. Next verified con will be in Nashville week after DragonCon but we are also looking at another day con in Knoxville and maybe some other events.

Congratulations on the successful drop! Do you have any pics to share? How big a con was it?

Last con was 20k folks. This one was a bit more I think. Limiting factors are parking downtown and physical space. Plus some actors were only there for one day.

I will post some pics I took of the table at the end of this post. The convention was larger than the one in October but that one was Aliens specific. This had way more Star Wars and wrestling guests. The Backstreet Boys and Hellboy cast had huge lines. No specific Alien related guests unless you count Ron Perlman who was there for Saturday only due to filming obligations. Diemon Dave, the Hillbilly Ninja, was at the table several times and we swapped stories. I think Gabe is going to be working with him and we hope to have some future projects going. We were behind the 501st shooting booth and it was popular so I think it is time we brought the UK version over here. We are working on setting that up. We are hoping to get an additional booth or rearranging the layout to accommodate. Like I said many people coming by everyday who love the movie but did not know we existed. We are working on that. Thanks again to everyone who came by!

Thanks. I had hoped to get further along on the mobility side of things, but the 20 dollar solution actually worked far better. the 300 or so dollar solution I was looking at required a lot more time than I had accounted for...

Unfortunately no FanBoy in October. We are looking and can almost announce Conapalooza instead for Oct. I got told we have a table but until I get the official announcement I will hold off posting that future drop.
