Emerald City Comic Con is this weekend (starts Thursday, April 7). I'll be there Saturday. Be great to see some other marines. |

Sounds like ECCC is being extra strict with their weapons policy this year. We kept the peacebonding on our guns and take a chance with them today. Will let you know if we get questioned about them or turned away even with the peacebonding. EDIT: We got around fine. I think they may have eased up a bit on the weapons restrictions as the day went on. At first, very few large props and weapons and as the day went on, we saw more. Hope to see you around tomorrow. |

Yeah, the rules are poorly defined and randomly enforced. Left the rifle at home Saturday. Got really wore out. Stopped for lunch, sat on the floor, ate my W-Y ration stamped can of SPAM with a metal FRED spoon. Drank a lot of water out of my canteen. Got more pics taken of me while eating SPAM than during the rest of the con! |

I opted out with the way they were running the security tables this year. A Thor didn't get in as his foam hammer was "too heavy". Insulation foam and pvc tube.... I had extensive screening on my netura wand, cause of the "pop feature". ECCC is a no go zone for me. |
