Are there any fellow troopers, xenos or weyus in the Florida panhandle area? I would like to get a group together for PENSACON next year to meet Michael Biehn an get a pic with him. If you don't already have gear I have 2 extra Weyland Yutani scientist outfits and a full xenomorph suit to wear (my wife and I both have Colonial Marines).

Let me know!!!!

Not panhandle area myself, but as I missed out on his autograph when he was at DragonCon a few years back, this might be worth the drive. What are the dates?

Awesome. When we get closer, we can plan a meetup.

Depending on when my yearly Reserves det ends up being this coming year, there's a good chance I can make this. I'll see who else might be interested!

...Moving this thread to the Drops subforum, btw. ;)

I answered your PM on FB. I included my cell # to call as well.

For anyone else, the drop starts at noon tomorrow.

This was a bust. Michael Biehn refused to take pictures with people dressed as characters from movies that he is in.

Sorry to hear that. Like I told Emma on Facebook, he is very hit and miss. All depends on his mood.

Thanks!

Greg

Sorry to hear that. He wasn't this way when he was in Germany or UK the last time. Hope you got more luck next Con.

Was that for pics at the signing table or paid for photos?

Both options were asked. Both were denied.

The next day he was willing to sign my pulse rifle, as long as I was out of costume when he did it. So I settled for that. The poor guy looked really bad. He was shaking terribly to just support the weight of the rifle.

That sounds weird, as the convention owner would get some of the funds from the photos, so they'd be missing out too. :?

He even got interviewed there and said he'd been contacted about the new Alien movie.

He was great when I met him a few years ago at Dragon Con, but as has been said, he does appear to have periods when he hates it. :(

Dare I guess that you had the xeno in your group? I've had no luck in getting photos of him with Abe other than the whole-cast photo (where he had little choice).

At one DCon, Jennifer Blanc wanted a photo of me and Michael on her own camera- he wouldn't do it; his words were "I don't want to be pictured with that thing.", and he meant it ... :(

Just checked Jen's FB page and there doesn't appear to be any photos from Pensacon.
There's one pic of Michael with a young boy as a Terminator, but no indication where/when it was taken.

She's heavily pregnant, so may not have been with him, as her other pics show her at the opening weekend of one of her films.

Well that is really a bummer to hear. All those stories, in fact. And it does cause me to reevaluate my experience with him. I expected a surly Biehn from other's stories already and while signing his pen ran out of ink mid stroke. He got pretty frazzled buy it and there was an uncomfortable silence while we waited for the new pen. I tried to make a comment about being torn between a Johnny Ringo and Hicks pic for the signature hoping to bust up the silence (Hicks all the way! But just trying to make conversation), but he just looked at me. Pretty awkward. I wrote it off as "that's what I heard might happen". Looking back now, I was kitted out and his demeanor did change from the person in front of me (who was not in costume) to my turn, so wow. Damn shame
