The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

OK folks,

I spoke to Jason Joiner whilst at MEM, and he has offered some changing facilities and our own table at Collectormania.

I will ring Showmasters up and see if i can get this in writing etc etc

So Michael Biehn, William Hope and Trevor Steedman will be there, so whos up for it?

Get everything in writing and keep a record of everything.

Don't expect to have a table even though you've been promised one, and don't be persuaded to pay a deposit or other charge for it now that you've been offered it for free.

Oh, and take your own table just in case. Seriously.

How we fixing for hotels? The Holiday Inn is very close, but I'm sure all booked up with all the showmasters forum people by now.

Last time I stayed at the Jury's Inn a little bit down the road.

Just been looking into Hotels for this event. There are 2 main hotels given as places to stay on the Collectormania website:

The Premier travel Inn - Which is fully booked

and the

Travelodge - which has 21 rooms available.

Travelodge is £56 per room per night and each room sleeps 3 people. One double bed and one sofa bed. So it would be £18.66 each per night. A Continental breakfast is available for an extra £4.

It is approx 10-15 minute walk from the shopping centre so probably quite quick to get to by car.

If everyone thinks this is OK then I would suggest booking into this one.

Tel: 01908 241079

Obvioulsy it will mean people needing to organise into groups of 3 and booking their rooms. Or we can just book 5 rooms and then sort who's where when we arrive. This means some brave soul will have to step up and make the booking for 5 rooms though.

What does everyone think?

Cheers

Darren

That sounds good to me, Darren

I'd be willing to book the 5 rooms, as long as I know it plenty of time if people won't be turning up, so I can cancel the unused rooms.

Everyone happy with this hotel?

Ok FOLKS

Seems the Travel Lodge site says the hotel is full now. The other option is the Jury Inn which is cheaper, a few yards further away.

Heres some details of the hotel.

miltonkeyneshotels.jurysdoyle.com/jurysinn_miltonkeynes/ROOM

In case anyone is wondering, the rooms are a double bed and a single for 3 adults sharing. So unless the hotel has some spare Z beds, one or two peeps are goign to get to know each other quite well, IF you know what i mean...

so I need to know A: we are ok with this hotel, B: if you ain't you better have an alternative and C: who is going to be there on what nights (Friday 4th May and Saturday 5th May)

so list your names here now with what nights you are attending.

And speed is of the essence folks, rooms are going fast and I would like to make a reservation Thursday night (tomorrow).

MANTROON FRIDAY & SATURDAY

my other halfs parents live in mk, so i'll be staying with them.

theres loads of free parking places outside the shopping centre, but on collectormania weekends it gets mega busy!! i got there at 6am once and couldnt get parked in a free spot:(

so you wanna get a hotel as close a possible unless you want a long walk

RIGHT!

I have made a reservation for 2 rooms on the Saturday night for the Scottish contingent, but I realised that I can't book for everyone because I won't be there at check-in on the Friday.

Therefore, we need to make individual bookings! So, since hotels in the area are filling up fast, we all need to go to ...

miltonkeyneshotels.jurysdoyle.com/

and make individual bookings NOW!

Arseholes and Elbows!
