Me, mandy and sky will be there.

I'm confused though... Reading Comic Con are advertising that the UKCM will be there, so why have we been 'allowed' to share the Garrisons changing area?
If we have been asked to attend, and have been officially advertised, then surely it's our changing area as well?

Because the changing area is really small and not big enough for all groups so to make sure we had somewhere I came to an arrangement

So the event wants to invite groups, but only provide a changing area for the 501st?

Or is it more of a case that the changing room is really small, so the garrison have claimed it and taken it upon themselves to 'allow' people into 'their' changing area. Just as they have done before at smaller shows.

Post subject:

No that's not the case

Then I'm glad that there is room for everyone in the changing area :)
Who's this Steve Smith chap? Comic con organiser?

And are we expected to follow garrison rules/safety brief etc?

Post subject:

No

There seems to be a lot of misunderstandings towards safety briefings and other groups rules so I will let those that attended joint drops chime in

I'm not 501st, I just drive a bus.

If you haven't met me yet I've done a couple of UKCM drops, and the other weekend a joint troop/drop at Comicon.

UKG shared their changing area, humour and gummy bears.

I felt welcome and looked after, even respected despite having probably the lightest loadout in the UKCM.

The safety brief on the first day included making sure everyone had a contact number and where to go in the event of a fire. Nothing horrific or overly involved, just the kind of stuff it is handy to kniw. Oh and the various groups saying hi so everyone had an idea of who was around.

The second days briefing was "was everyone here yesterday"

As much as mornings, especially early mornings are not my thing no biggie.

I understand that things haven't always been great between UKG and UKCM but there was a really positive vibe going on.

Jade has said it all really!

BTW, at MCM events we have been offered a table next to the UKG/RI ones with our own banners etc. And we are free to come and go as we please, and costume as much or as little as we can handle.

We can also have a couple of people as 'spotters/crew' without costumes if we need.

Basically, I can honestly say we were made to feel very welcome. We have been chatting about the possibility of attending smaller events with them as well.

Excellent, somewhere to leave all my crap is appreciated :)

Have we got a point of contact for the organisers?
