I can't get there on the 8th, and they've shown no signs of changing the day. I guess they're targeting journalists who are able to claim cabs on expenses.

The organisers of Nine Worlds convention has been in touch and invited me to a press event they are doing on the morning of 8th May in the Science Museum in London. It's a Thursday and I am unsure I can get the whole day off work (I have a medical appointment in the afternoon though). I'd much prefer to go if other want to be there too. There is no pay and probably no expenses, but they will have cameras and it might raise the profile of the UKCM with organisers. And the details of the event sound fun. There will likely be somewhere to change, but prop weapons will not be permitted. Anyone interested/available? |

I've replied to say that I can't make it. With no expenses likely, I don't fancy paying for a taxi. I'll see if they change the date to be outside the Tube strike - I'd imagine it would also affect attendance by press. |
