Well, I think I need to kick this off. I would like to know who has a reasonable chance of attending Dragon*Con 2013. As always, estimated absolute minimum cost is about £1000. I have two rooms booked in the Hilton (which I hope will be insufficient for our numbers!). It is unclear at this point how easy it will be to get more rooms since the first allocation is sold out. The tentative plan is for everyone to book flights leaving London on Wednesday 28th August 2013, and then departing from Atlanta on Tuesday 3rd September 2013 (arriving back in the UK on the 4th). Disregarding any massive price differences, British Airways remain the official airline of the UKCM. Optionally, there will be a party staying in the Ibis LHR on the night of Tuesday 27th August 2013 before the flight. This is all currently without obligation, but I would appreciate if you keep this list up to date if you later find out that you cannot attend. So ... Readyline: Pug50 (Ibis, Shared Hilton Rooms) |

Previous years, we have arrived Weds night, left on Tues night and arrived back in the UK Wed morning meaning a trip totalling a week. Now ... I'm going to be a bastard here and say that I'm not going to entertain +1's at this point in time - on personal and group dynamics grounds but mainly on account of logistics. When the hotel rooms are sufficient then I might change my mind. But, I'd recommend they jump on the board in the meantime. |

Hi Viven. This thread was intended for planning the UKCM group trip and shared hotel booking. That said, we should really start a general thread in the USCM section about Dragon*Con 2013 - planning for next year is a great way of stopping post-con blues!
