22-23 September - Movie Mania (S)- Meet your favourite movie stars in a weekend in Hollywood. Iron Man, Jack Sparrow, Ghostbusters and Aliens all take centre stage. The National Space Centre, in Leicester. [ Awaiting confirmation of Alien Encounter at this... Will update once Malika gives a definite answer  ]

Matt I heard, we`ll KEEP them all out :p @Rich Yea it`s ChiefProfanities wedding on the same Saturday to Liz (Plus before she say`s "I DO" MWWWHAHAHAHAHA). So already agreed to go there and be Great to attend at least one of the AL weddings this year LOL Will have my UKCM flask with me and share a toast in spirit from us ALL to them on their Special Day

Unfortunately, Malika says that the dates have all gone to press, so that weekend is indeed set in stone for the Movie Mania weekend. If enough of those generally involved CAN make it along, she would like to do an Encounter, though. |

I can make this date and I'd be willing to become the Profs understudy! I even have my own labcoat although it is bright red! but hey it won't show the blood when Abe, Alice and crew get hold of me will it!  And I'm sure my wearing glasses helps with the "geek look"

Regarding the Encounter... Gareth won't be there, Claymore won't be there, Bri won't have a bug suit... Not sure if we could even do the thing without G's technical expertise, never mind the lack of bugs overall! |

Helen The Movie Mania and the Alien Encounter at NSC is an event the UKG and UKCM run together as a fundraiser. Basicly, we take over the Space Centre for a weekend, show off props and costumes, interact with the public and sometimes scare the bejeezus out of them. In the evening we all get together, have an auction for charity, have a good knees up and attempt to drink Leicester dry.
