its about 3 miles from the excel, and next to the dlr.

God! This is going to cost me a fortune!

We're only planning on staying for one night and driving back home late on Sunday. The only places I can find with rooms available are Travel Lodge at Aldgate (£80 plus tube fare), Custom House (£90) and the Crowne Plaza (£109 but at least that's with breakfast).

Oh, and I've just checked - anyone thinking of staying further afield and catching the train/tube there's going to be engineering works on all that weekend so its going to be a PITA to get anywhere.
