The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

During the day Saturday, the plan could be to chill out, and then visit The Red Cow - which is a sacred place in UKCM lore (and soon to close down .. :(). Again, costumes are encouraged but optional.

Also, I think myself (and maybe Bazfish) will be getting tattooed at about 11am on the Saturday. So if anyone wants to spectate...

When are you leaving Saturday? I might be getting a train from London, so wondering if it's worth me hopping down to Hastings sat morning and hitching to London with you guys. Might be better for the enviroment/me not having to sit on a train by myself.

That's what I meant, driving to Devon. :D

I'd happily chuck in for petrol costs. If you're okay with the idea, I'll take a look and see when I can get to hastings for on the Sat morning.

Since you were asking for suggestions of things to do on Saturday anyone interested in catching "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" on opening weekend assuming somewhere in Exeter will be showing it?

I don't want to make the journey antisocial... but...

A single ticket for a direct train from London to Hastings (in the opposite direction to Devon) is £30
A single ticket for a direct train from London to Honiton is ... £21.50

Jake - I can give you a lift back to London - I plan to leave from Devon midmorning/midday Sunday.

Also, anyone who is arriving at Honiton train station - I can pick you up. Give me an idea when you are arriving and drop me a line when you are nearby.

Fine, I'll journey in an antisocial manner :P

That's okay, I'll come down on the Saturday. Probably get there at middayish.

OK the film is 170 minutes long which means that practically speaking the only viable showing is the 12.10 to be back at the Golden Pond in time to get ready for Geek Night which should give us time for a visit to the Red Cow too. So anyone still interested?

Suppose it that case it would make sense to meet at the cinema then convoy back to Honiton. I need people to follow as I've only been to the Red Cow once.

I've found a local B&B 30 seconds away from us. £50 a night including breakfast or £40 a night with no breakfast, both double rooms. Let me know ASAP if you want them as she won't hold onto them. There are only 2 rooms available
