Hi All,
Thank you in advance for coming and supporting the Exewing event.
It is very kind of you to give up your time and money to help with this event, especially in this day and age, it is very much appreciated by me and all the Exewing members.
I know for a fact you guys are going to absolutely rock, I hope you all have an absolute blast at the weekend.
On the Saturday the Exewing will be at Pecorama setting up for most of the day, from around 8am till 6pm we will be in and around the venue, or travelling back and forth.
For those staying in the Greyhound hotel it will be best to liaise with Gareth on that.
Contact through Bazfish, me or Gareth should you have any other queries.
The meal on Saturday night starts at 7.30pm at the Heathfield in Honiton, till whenever.
On the Sunday we will be at the venue from 7.00am, I'd best leave it to Gareth to organise the UKCM and Sunday activities.
Hopefully we will have the shell of the event set up on the Saturday but the fine tuning will need to be done on Sunday and even though the event doesn't start till 10am, attendees will be arriving from 9am, or before!
Sunday night after the event, for those that are staying on, we usually crash at a pub, the Heathfield again I think for a beer and food.
On the event day, it will be a case of the UKCM running the Shooting range, jointly with some of the Charity Sci-Fi military costumers (mostly Doctor Who UNIT), and showing off your lovely stuff, apart from that the day should be pretty relaxed.
We are doing the nerf shooting range on a voluntary donation basis this time, so it is up to your discretion how many shots people get, etc.
One main thing for the UKCM this time is the inclusion of an advertised photo shoot:
Every attendee will have a copy of the schedule and we will do tannoy announcements, but the idea is to get as many of you together in costume for 10-15 mins in the same place at the same time, and make sure everyone knows it, so the attendees can get a great photo of you all.
We will have a donation bucket out for voluntary donations.
After you have done a few minutes posing as a group if you are okay to let the public get photos with you that would be cool, this can go on as long as you want.
Obviously there will be lots of posing and photo taking all day long but we are hoping to get one co-ordianted one in place,
"11.30: UKCM Costume Group Photo Shoot *Green Opposite Peco Marquee" Carry Rules I believe will be as per UKCM guide lines.I have had a meeting with Pecorama and explained what will be happening and what will be on display with regards to the UKCM area, there will not be any problems this year with non-authorised busy bodies.
Just in case there is, but there won't be, please alert myself or Bruce and we will be there asap.
The UKCM area will have:
Long marquee for range
Big Camo Net to go over marquee
5 x cloth covered targets
6 x maverick Nerf Guns
1 x shotgun rotating barrel Nerf gun
Velcro tipped velcro darts
Tables
Signage for Range
Charity collecting tin/bucket
I'm hoping you guys are adding:
