The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Just a quick update. The venue is both indoors and outdoors if it rains we can move indoors but we've got a twenty by forty foot marquee with a hard floor for most of the activities.

With good weather we'll all be able to walk the site inside and out throughout the day but there is plenty of shelter. The tables for dealers and groups are inside the Cutter building so props will always be safe and dry.

According to the weather it will be sunny with clouds coming in with rain later on, so hopefully we'll miss it with the close down at 5pm.

Hopefully both public and costumers will have a fun time.

9am briefing at the train station look for a guy in a Hawaiian shirt.... That'll be me. Open at 10am.

Like I said before I'll be taking down Scapey and Bolty and we will be staying at the Holiday Inn the night before.

We told scapey month's ago when we came up to Glasgow that no one needed to fork out money or whatever, i don't know whether this was a break down in communication or what...klockwork also posted on page 2 that there was no need for hotels as she has crash space, we did try and make this as less cost expensive for the venue as possible so they wouldn't have to pay out twice, by providing transport (for bags AND people) as a group.

Remember it's going to be a Sunday and public transport is going to be an ASS specially from Newcastle to wood horn itself, the museum is not located in a town but rather on the outskirts.

This also means because of going in two separate groups myself, Mark and Klockwork aren't going to know whats happening with the briefing as we did say we were going to come up as a group, but now it seem's as tho everyone is getting the briefing at the train station without us. Considering Myself and mark were specifically asked for for this event as Alien and predator.

In a nuttshell..i now have no idea what the hell is going on.

Rex - I told you ages ago that we didn't want to sofa-surf, and would rather drive down the night before, fork out for a hotel and drive home after the con! Espcially given the public transport options to Woodhorn are a bit shit.

Also remember, I'll have been travelling from Friday night right thru til Saturday evening ( USA > London, London > Glasgow, Glasgow > Woodhorn ).
I NEED a comfy bed!
Clay hates sofa-surfing if it can be helped, too, hence the decision to get a room and make life easier.

Don't worry if you miss the briefing. I can fill you in when you get there. The public will be on site after 10am and i may be stuck with activities but ask for Paul Adgar or Elaine (my wife) Lawler. And I will see you at some point.

I will also need to take bug hunt people around the locations, we are using on site. it'll be tight. But it can be done.

Just like to say a big (imagine large font size) THANK YOU for attending my little event. ;)

Fun seemed to be had by all including all the people in the car park I spoke to afterwards. The kids, including my own; dressed as Capt. Kirk brandishing a light saber.... Go figure, had a brilliant time on the bug hunt. My son said it was fabulous and out of this world, to quote.

Maybe next year we'll sign them up for recruits and reduce the number following you.... It's hard to sneak with an epic number of kids following.

Thank you, and and see you next year?
:-D

Fixed that for ya, Splik ;)

And thank YOU for having us!
I think Bolty and Clay did a great job in tweaking the format we came up with for the NSC Bug Hunt to fit Woodhorn, and I reckon we've pretty much got it down pat now for future events with the only bugs remaining being the ones the kids are searching for! So much Kudos to them, and to Rex for training Abi so well, Tia for her epic leash-holding skills ( Well, except for when she LET THE BUG ESCAPE! :p ) and everyone else for making it such a fun Drop.
