The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

That sound excellent Woody and I be ok with Fri & Sat night.

I do not mind sharing with anyone.

If the rooms are small two a room would be best. Three to a room is asking alot of the room and shower!!!

So are you doing a group booking Woody?

@ Rick I will bring you stuff!!!

Ok a list.

Friendlyskies
(maybe Friendlyskies Junior too)
Glenn
Pug50
DATA
Taskmaster (Woody)
Skapunkninja possibly
PlasticPrincess (probably)
DangerousRick (maybe)
Sidewinder

Looking Good.

I have done a group booking, hence the flat rate per person ;)

Recap:

B&B - £25 per night. Twin rooms. 4 course breakfast incl. Pubs at 500yds onwards. Plenty of food options. Very talkative proprietor. Very close to NEC site.

I'd like to give him exact numbers for each night as soon as possible, so if the 'Maybes' could confirm when you can, that'd be great!

That's fine with me thanks Woody. Could you just confirm the price for me though. Obviously Kaan can just share a bed with me but will the price of the room still be £50 for the night or will there be a difference if there is me and Gareth plus Kaan?

Cheers

Yes. From what I understand, usually we are.
I'm still discovering the delights of this myself.

I asked that same question and got 3 pages of replies!!

Beer is usually a staple component. After all, this is about having fun.
One of the main roles of a Marine is to act as a spotter for the Aliens and Preds, to make sure they don't trip over small children, get their tails pulled etc.
Another is posing for photos with pretty people, meeting celebs, scaring the girlies and generally entertaining everyone, including ourselves.

People say it really is best to drop by at a Drop and hang out for a while to see what happens.

And they're right!!!

I don't think I could have put it much better.

We normally go around as a group, and sometimes have a UKCM table to focus on. However, people are free to see the show and go shopping etc of course.

The other piece of advice would be to try to stay for the evening activities; trust me, the dressing up and convention bit is mostly an excuse to meet up.

Looking forward to meeting you Vito!

Thanks guys,

Can't wait to meet you all ether!

Plus, the amour will be coming soon =] - STOKED!!!

And if we have a table i have something to contribute if it's alright. Something i've been working on for the past two months. It's the laptop set up for the UA 571-C Sentry Weapons System.

I have a demo i made "rough copy" on youtube if you want to check it. There is a newer version which is much better and i have recently bought a old IBM laptop for the look.

If you want me to bring it sometime just drop a line and i'll bring it with me on my first ever convention.

Peace

Any news, chaps?
I believe they've shut the online ticket thing now anyway.

Would we also be covered for Autographica?
I'd like to pay my respects to Sir Henry Cooper.

First time I've seen those posts above sorry. I did speak to Jason but only on Monday of this week in the end. We are welcome to attend and there should be changing facilities but this may be something chucked in with all the other cosplayers so have to play that by ear.
I have no idea if this covers us for entry into Autogtraphica as I didn't ask. Probably better to assume it doesn't but you can always wander in and if you get asked for your ticket let them know who you are and if they still say no then no harm done.

Cheers

Darren
