The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Do we need to order tickets for this?
Or
Are the organisers planning on using us? So we get free entry ;-)

I would imagine the chances of free tickets are unlikely - the organisers have not replied to my emails yet (and I cannot find a phone number other than from the whois record of the website). Also, the capacity of the event is likely to be relatively small. I will follow up again tomorrow.

I have images of just us sitting there in full kit watching it in an almost empty field. LOL that'd be hilarious

Strangely enough, they just got back to me. They say there is no budget for such things so we would be buying tickets full price. However, they are keen for us to attend in costume.

I will get absolute confirmation about weapons and changing. However, as paying punters, no one should feel obligated to stay off the juice or costume unless you want to.

Ace. Shots every time they kill an Alien (or in your case Abe, a Marine!)? Ohhh I look forward to the Sub-Level 3 bit...

EDIT: just remembered the remote location means driving :-(

Nice and local for me just a £5 cab fair :-) but misses will probably drive if we are doing a drop so i can bring armour unless its not a drop. If its not a drop and we cant help PR it then I am going in my civilian clothes ;-)

I have my ticket which I chose the print it yourself option for and my Polish Desert BDU's arrived today as well as my RUC cap for Service C's.

Unfortunately I see some needlework in my future affixing patches! :-(

If you can't get them on in time, Wondaweb will do. It's supposed to be a quick one-event fix, but it will actually keep patches tight on cloth and leather at over (ahem) miles per hour for several years.

Same here.

Confirmed today that my mate Shahab is bringing family along in his car, so I won't have to drive. :D

Just thinking should we request a special ribbon for this particular and fairly unique drop? ;-)

Good shout! Something like ribbon for "Attendance of a public showing of Alien/Aliens/Alien 3, in uniform"

How is that not already a thing, and who OKs that as an idea?
