The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Its a Tomtom Go 700 - it was actually a refurbished unit bought from a site that I will find the name of from my dad.

It was great to see everyone, sorry I couldn't costume; I think I'll wait for D-Con to break my duck! As I'm in the middle of a job there's no way I could have brought all my gear up, plus I was staying with friends that weekend, which is the reason it had to be a fleeting visit.

Steve, goto

www.totalpda.co.uk/In-Car-Sat-Nav.8/

for Sat Nav bargains, refurbished models to recommend are Go 510, GO 710, Go910, I think 710 & 910 still use mini hard drive, 510 uses a flash card.

DAMMIT!
I never did ask Olmos to Say The Line!

"What, 'So Say We All'?"

No! The other one!

"What, 'She won't live... But then again, who does?'?"

Nooo! The line! 'How can I reach these keeeeeeeeeds!'

Nor did I get round to asking Gaeta how he reacted when he was told he was the final Cylon - To see his reaction to the question, and thereby prove or disprove my theory. ;)

Looks like you guys had a great time. :D

Andy and I are really disappointed we couldn't get to it and meet the Admiral and all you guys - doubly so as the event we were at got cancelled due to the horrendous weather.

Especially as we had got there the day before to put the camp up and so it all got sooo wet and we didn't even do the gig!
Sunday, however, was good so we enjoyed the castle and its grounds an had a campfire etc in the evening. So all was not completly lost. :)

We're thinking we might get to the LFCC event, if things pan out OK.

Cheers,
Karyn

Aww that's bad news. Must say I did wonder if you guys were out in all that rain over the weekend. Still it was a bank holiday in the UK - wouldn't be the same if it wasn't peeing it down :P

Looking right now for one that I can used on the bike also as it hard to get a map out and ride at the same time.

Sorry to hear about your weekend Karyn and Andy.

Once again what happen to the UKCM Marines???????

Missing in action????

No one know's who we are, Yes they see the Pred and Alien and think only AVP and nothing of the first 4 aliens films and 2 Predators film.

I get asked all the time "Who are you???" But they do say nice costumes tho but see this and nothing for the Marines has pissed me off.

I thinking of a TV and playing Aliens so all the little kids can watch it and know who we are!!!

Hold on!!!!!! Don't speak so soon! I sat on the john and read the actual article:

Quote:
However, the heart and soul of any convention is the lengths to which people go with their outfits, and in this respect MCM did not disappoint. The ones that immediately come to mind as the most impressive were easily the Colonial Marines, who looked as if they'd just walked of the set of Aliens. Likewise, the two people in Xenomorph and Predator costumes menaced the crowd frequently - something that seemed particularly surreal when you consider that Ecto-1 was clearly visible in the background the entire time.

So NEVER say that the Marines don't get some love!
