The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

A heads up about the escalators on the Marta:

If you are coming to Dragon*Con and arriving via Marta:

http://dailydragon.dragoncon.org/dc2012 ... n-weekend/

Quote:
ESCALATOR ADVISORY AT PEACHTREE CENTER STATION: Beginning Wednesday, August 8, 2012:

On Wednesday, August 8, MARTA will close the two long escalators that serve the Food Court entrance via the Northeast concourse at our Peachtree Center station.

Both long escalators will be taken out of service at the same time (August 8). The complete replacement and repair is expected to be finished by mid-October.

In the meantime, MARTA customers may use the Northwest exit (Post Office/AmericasMart) or elevator and exit the Peachtree Station on the sidewalk across the street from the Food Court.
Or, they may exit with the Southeast escalators or elevator and walk north on the same side of the street as the Food Court.

Expect to encounter delays and pedestrian congestion throughout the weekend.
If you’re bringing hefty/bulky luggage and gear and you don’t want to schlep it up a LOT of stairs, you’ll need to cross the street to get to the elevators.

Please plan your to-and-fro-ing accordingly, folks!

Cheers mate.

I knew about this but the station is pretty quiet at 10pm on a weekday so I figured the lifts or the other escalator should be OK.

Ok, I will put that number in my phone. My flight actually gets in at like 7:30, but I am not sure what the Marta schedule is or how long it will take me to get my luggage.
