The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Harry said earlier in the thread that the event starts at 6:30pm

I'd be up for meeting up earlier in the day. Anyone else going to that showing of the Watchmen? I might book a ticket tomorrow.

It's about half full at the moment, so loads of seats left:

Right to get back on subject..
Got a few question that have not been answered yet..

we all meeting up some where then going on mass to the event?

how we getting in? as this is an after hours event, will our names be on a list so we can get in ? or we just wander in?

Some of us may have to come straight from work, so if there is somewhere to get changed at the event, that would be handy and store bags etc....

Will we get something to eat at this?

What time is kicking out time? and is there plans to go on somewhere else?

I'm going to contact the director of the Movieum in case he needs a list of names. He and Terry know we're coming and Terry knows there are about 20 of us.

I doubt there will be anywhere other than toilets to change in. Also assume there might be nowhere to leave your bag so you might have to carry it with you so pack a small bag etc. Can you get changed before you leave work and leave your bag there perhaps?

Quote:

I don't know if there's food available but if there is it'll only be nibbles so I'd say it's best to assume there's no food and eat beforehand if you think you're going to be hungry later on. A sandwich at the station maybe?

Quote:

I'd think it would finish at about 11pm. Personally I'm working the next day so I have to get home that night. I doubt any concrete decision to go anywhere else will be made beforehand so prepare to go with the flow.

There is a tiny pub right across from Waterloo train station called "The Hole in the Wall" (I think) that looks like a dive but serves good cheap food and drink. I recommend it if you don't mind the walls shaking when a train goes past.

Yup, been in there once. Don't go in there if you've got a headache, as it'll be a lot worse when you come back out.

It's marked on my map here by an orange and black circle, just on Mepham Street:

Belvedere Road (just in front of the Royal Festival Hall) has a few small cafes and such near it too, in case others are full up.

If people are able to do an early meet up, shall we meet at the "Moon Under the Water" next door to the big Odeon in Leicester Square?

I'll be there by about 3pm Thursday. I *think* Baz and the Clangers are arriving in London at about 3pm.

I'll give you a call when I get out of work to find out where you are - there's no way I can leave at 3pm but I can probably be out by about 4pm.

I got the train tickets and will be there 13:49 @ Waterloo station.

I be carry a back pack only.

So I guess the plan is to meet up at London Waterloo with the people with trains and then meet up @ 3:00 @ Moon Under the Water.

Than the show is @ 6:30 to 11:00PM.

What the meal? or take out?

Cheer's Steve

I had it in my head that you were seeing it at Leicester Sq, and that the film was shorter.

In that case, shall we just meet in the pub near Waterloo? What do people think?

I did post twice that I was seeing it at the Imax.

I doubt I'll have time for any pre or post film meeting, so will just go straight to the movieum from the Imax. :)

Just a reminder guys staying at my gaff, bring a blow up bed with you as I have no furniture.

I have one blow up camper matress for someone, not terribly comfortable as its only 1 inch thick, but it does the job.

Plus another 1 ft high blow up but it deflates 50% by the time you wake up. But Ive slept on it and it's doable for a night.

Steve (PVB) will a blow up be ok for you bud, or what?

Anything will do, as I doubt I'll get any sleep anyway. :)

Although if we all de-camp at about 11pm, it'll be just as easy for me to go straight home. :)
