The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

According to the organisers, the plan is to try to make this more than just 2 days of RPGs... And they'd like us to be involved, so...
:)

Been on the phone to Kenny, the organiser of this, for the last hour or thereabouts.

There have been some problems pulling everything together, but it seems to be gathering momentum now.

We have the entire Queen Margaret union at our disposal for the Saturday and the Sunday.
The other societies ( Sci Fi and LAN Gaming, as opposed to RPG/Tabletop gaming ) are onboard, and a schedule is being put together over the next few weeks.

Tentative plans include a dealer's room on the main floor of Quodos ( Large dancefloor room with a stage ) with guest panels and possibly some "How To" demonstrations from the likes of the Cyberpunk society onstage ( I suggested hooking some cameras into the big-screen projector for this, and the idea went down well :) )

There'll be some "Living History" combat on the go as well, and a Costume Masquerade, and the evening should see the Pub Quiz used to cover the time it takes to clear the dancefloor and set up the stage for the evening's party/Rock Band competitions/costume contests.

As this is a LARPing con whats the plan for us then?

We gonna get into character, chase aliens they nom some of us, we kill them, etc?

Or standing around getting photos taken at a table, as per usual?

Like I said, the plan is for this year to be more than just a game-con.
I'll see if I can get Kenny, the organiser, on here to explain more.

He did like the idea of an NSC-type bug hunt through the labyrinthine QM Union, as the con has the entire building...
