The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Meant to post about this earlier, but Feel the Force Day are after costumers to attend this years event in Peterborough again.

This is a one of a kind event, designed specifically for people with disabilities.

Event takes place this year at the EAST OF ENGLAND ARENA, PETERBOROUGH, PE2 6HE on Sat the 5th of October.

Secure changing is provided, I think there are some limited refreshments available, but foodwise this year its an option of a "packed lunch" for £3.00, which you order through their website, or just buy yourself something from one of the vendors.

Any persons interested in attending need to register at their website and post pics of them in costume, along with their weapons (if you've attended before and have already signed up, just make sure your details are up to date ). The method of signing up is a little different this year

Go to the main website at https://www.feeltheforceday.com/ . If you haven't already completed a profile, click "register" and fill out your details. If you've attended a previous event and already have a profile, just log in.

Once on your profile page there should be 3 large buttons at the top of the page saying "get passes", "book display" and "order food".

To get a crew and parking pass, click "get passes". There is an option for you to donate a ticket, just type 0 in that box if you don't want to make a donation.

Just fill out your details and at the end, it will display your passes that you will need to print out. It should also email you a pdf file as a backup.

Foodwise, if you want one of their "packed lunches", click on the "Order food" option and fill out your details. As mentioned earlier, these are £3.

Questions about the event can be asked at the following Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/819562831537969/

Bearing in mind the event is designed specifically for people with diabilities, people who are blind or visually impaired may ask to touch your costume (hence the "feel the force" name).

With regards to weapons, so long as you post pics of your weapons and have them checked by staff on site everything should be fine. In any case, Pulse Rifles, Flame Throwers and Smart Guns should be OK as they are not actual weapons. Though full metal airsoft VP-70s "may" cause a slight problem. So I'll be bringing my resin one.

I attended last year along with Marie (Bethor's Lady) who alternated between Predator Huntress and Drop ship pilot.

Expect to see familiar faces from other clubs. Members of AVP-UK (new club formed by members of UK Preds) will be there.

You need to be there bright and early in order to be there for when the place opens at 10am. Alternately though, you could just attend as a paying customer and come and go as you please. But you won't have access to the changing areas.
