The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

We have once again been invited to attend the Sci-Fi weekend at East Lancashire Heritage Railway in Bury.

Myself and Marie (Bethor's Lady) went last year and had an absolute blast.

It's a family themed event celebrating all things sci-fi. Other sci-fo clubs have been invited to attend, covering Star Wars, Dr Who and other sci-fi films (UK Garrison and Rebel Legion will be there along with other Star Wars clubs).

The main event takes place primarily at Bury Station, but other stations along the line also have various displays. So we'll be taking the occaisional train up and down the line.

There's limited free car parking available at Bury station, but the nearby pay & display is only a couple of quid. A secure changing area is provided and we get lunch thrown in.

Me and Andy (Nostromo) are going and we're looking for a couple more marines, or other Alien (or even Predator) characters to bolster the ranks.

Event dates
Saturday, 18 August 2018 - Sunday, 19 August 2018
10:00 - 16:00 please arrive by 09:00

Event location
East Lancashire Railway:
Bolton Street Station,
Bolton Street,
BURY,
Lancashire,
BL9 0EY

READYLINE
Simon T
Nostromo

I'm interested in this, possibly for just one day though. I'll probably be signing up with the Rebel Legion for the other.

Yes, if you want to do a day with us and a day with Rebel Legion, or whoever, thats fine.

As you know, UKCM aren't as strict with regards to screen accuracy, so your costume will be fine.

If you could let us know you're definitely up for this and which day you want to do, that would be great.

Something I should ask is whether we will have a display table of props. If we will then parts of my costume can be made available for it on the Saturday.
This could include:
Armour/helmet.
Tech kit.
Motion tracker.
Pulse rifle.
VP70
Facehugger.

No, basically all we do is walk up and down the station platform posing for pics and entertaining the public. Which also involves the occaisional train ride. :D
