The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

OK, ignoring the "Billie" and "Wilks" nonsense that got retconned after Alien 3 was released, does anyone have any insight as to why so many needless changes were made to the Aliens storyline in Newt's flashbacks in this comic?

No attempt was made to get the pulse rifles looking correct - Nor the armour, or indeed anything of the Acheron incident.

And why the hell were Drake and Vasquez "Pinned in the generator room" instead of meeting the fates they did in the film?

Makes no sense to me, since the comic came out a long time after the movie did - So it can;t even have been based upon an early version of the script.

BTW, as an aside... Could someone with the retconned version of this please check the names of the marines who dies in the aforementioned generator room? And the marines who found them?
Ta!

Uhh, this is all news to me.

I've only read the books and not the comics so most of it made sense (except the name changes).
Darn pictures!!

I'm intrigued to hear more though.

Are you talking about the story drawn by Mark A. Nelson? The black and white version, or the version done by Beouvios that's airbrushed?

The Denis Beauvis art was in Book II.
I am indeed talking about the book with Nelson's gorgeous B/W artwork.
( Although they are part of the same arc, so I guess it's a moot point - I don't recall any flashbacks in Book II to the Acheron mission, but if there are any I'll get to them in good time... Once I dig the comics out of storage! ;) )
