Hello all, Well I'm building a Smartgun. I have most of the peices together, and just doing the small detail work. I would like to see some of your work on your SG's. Thanks, Painkiller |

Hey guys Im a noob on here, usually do airsofting but trying to put together a colonial marine loadout and attempting to build a smartgun out of an M60 airsoft gun. I know the M56 is based on a german MG42 but apaprently the sixty is based on a mg42 anyway so perhaps it wouldnt be that difficult? Any advice would be appreciated... Dave |

AFAIK, only the ammo feed mechanism of the MG42 was used for the M60. As the overall looks are quite differend I wouldn't go that way. Use Matt's MG42 kit instead (with some work in the receiver area and a differend barrel, you should be able to convert it into an airsoft too). If you have lots of money to spend you could use a Shoei (Gas) or Ultimate (AEG) airsoft or you could go the other way and build one from scratch...
