The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Maybe a slight hint of green. Sheer brilliance and looks great for a scratchbuild!

The raw talent on this board never ceases to amaze me!

Once again, awesome job on that scratch-build! :D

As far as color, I'm not sure how true your photos are to the actual hue of the paint, but it appears a little more green than standard Olive Drab (O.D.). It actually reminds me of the color of the Icons stunt pulse rifles. Brown Bess (by Humbrol) is of course the color that was used on the pulse rifles in the film, but in real life it tends to look a little too brown. It also doesn't help that the majority of pulse rifles seen at cons appear to be painted O.D.

I prefer O.D. myself -- Krylon's camo colors specifically.

thanks for all the kind words guys. the photos here make it look a little more green than it is in real life but i still think that a slightly browner color would look better. also i dont think i will weather the shroud after the re-paint just to keep it looking neater. :)

I can't believe this is plastic card and bog rolls (yes, I still use British slang).

I'm floored - WOW!

sorry to dig an old topic up again, but i have given my PR a makeover. mainly i have repainted the shroud a more screen accurate OD. and i also minimalised the weathering. what do you think guys (and gals)......

That is sweet mate & knowing it`s a Plasticard weapon too truely makes this a work of art.

You`d NEVER believe it was made the way it was looking at it.
Top Marks indeed.
