The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

So, I testfit my spulse today: http://twitpic.com/39761x

I'm going to be painting it beforehand, and I'm just looking for the humbrol reference numbers [which are hidden in the archives, I'm sure.] and some tips. Should I buy an airbrush to do it with? Should I paint it before I build it? I've got spats incredibly detailed guide on his website, but is there anything else people reccomend? sorry if this is terribly written, I've spent all day writing essays, and blehhh.

you can get a good spray for the green that would do the trick
and the rest is just yuour usual matt or satin black which you can get from halfords easy enough
just remember to primer before hand

I don't have a hot glue gun, and you really only need it to stick the counter in, is there anything else I can mount it in there with? I'd rather not buy a glue gun for one part :)

Use heavy duty mounting tape, you know that double stick kind of thick foam tape.

Too much can go wrong with superglue...

We use hot glue because it's strong yet not absolutely permanent, and when used in electronic parts it has insulating and shock absorbing properties. Really... it's not a bad idea to have a hot glue gun in your arsenal of prop tools...;)

I plan to get one, but right now it's not viable, and I don't want to have to wait. I'll just stick it in with tape, and get a glue gun later, this is after all, only my first Pulsey. Thanks for quick responses.

You can get a Glue Gun for like $2 at some places. Even a high end one is $15. It's not a big investment, and it's an incredibly useful tool.
