The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

There is nothing more impressive than a bloody big Alien

All depends on my mood at time.

The answer would be yes, and the answer to the unasked question would be "Morita" (re: the big guns). ;)

Ridiculously big? What do you call the Pulse rifle and smartgun?

Pulse rifle's shorter and more compact. It looks and feels like a real gun. The Smart Gun a squad support weapon, with built-in gyroscopic stabilization, harness, auto-targetting and coffee cup holder. Different category altogether. :P

But the Morita is just too big. I always thing that when I watch the movie (which I love): how can they make rifles that ridiculously large and cumbersome? The thing's too long and looks too heavy for practical (and sustained) handling.

<shrug> Well, that's my feeling anyways. It just looks a lot more 'proppy' than the PR.

On a side note, the FAMAS is a good substitute. Go French weaponry!

Yeah, but when I wave a pulse rifle at you it's "Oh no, it's a gun..." When someone waves a Morita at you it's "Oh MY GOD, IT's A CANNON!"

Of course I DO like the smartgun's cup holder and built in ash tray, so it's a toss up which one is better. ;)

Yeah, but waving the Morita involves a 2-seconds delay and Navy/Artillery-like orders about coordinates, heights, distance and wind factor.

Mmh. Just like a cannon, in fact, I guess!
