Post subject:  My new 'Found Item' Aliens prop/set dressing.
I received this for my birthday back in August (thank you - you know who you are!) and thought I'd share it her as I think it's pretty cool.

Firstly here's the item on set. The photo is a scan from the Japanese Movie Magazine.

Incidentally the item indicated by the green arrow looks to be a microphone on a small table-stand that's fallen off the TV monitor. Whether it was practical (i.e. for recording sound on set) or just more set dressing is unknown.

Anyway, the item is in fact one of these:

Which, with the simple addition of a piece of silver plastic, makes for a very quick & easy Aliens piece!

My nans got one. I already asked if i could have it - She said she enjoys playing it.

She also has one of those ones you play asteroid on, similar design.

You know, I just have to add this:

I must say that Harry openly sharing all this info with us is what I truly love about this community. Not trying to bash any other boards, but there are some people who would hoard this info (what the found object truly is) to be able to boast they have one, or force others to do the research themselves.

I'm with Kev on this one.....thanks Harry.

All though we do have the odd member (no names *wink wink*) who I know have a whole stash of awesome behind the scenes stuff they post when the time comes/threads appear....it's like Christmas for me when those get posted :D
Don't take this as a bash though....to me its just sharing over time and not all at once which 'delays pleasure' ;)
